Early birds were practicing Say Hey Love (Bracken Ellis Potter) and several instructors joined in....what a cute dance to catchy music.. We also danced an older favorite, Bomshel Stomp....always brings laughter to the dance floor.
We danced almost all of the playlist and several dances that the instructors have been teaching in the last few weeks - Toes, Chica Boom Boom, and from the workshop - Back in ‘63, Bad Influence, and Tennessee Waltz Surprise....all of these are going well in classes.
Love You Waltz was being danced at the back of the room while the beginners danced Shy Waltz. 
Lots of special requests this time and as the dance neared the ending hour, DJ John tried to fit some of those in - Love Trick, Spotlight, Rain Against My Window, Mamma Do, and Hey, Hey Goodbye.
All good things must come to an end.......but only until the next dance!  Mark your calendars now for Friday, Nov 13 - Dance Addiction!

It sure was a hot night to be Fall, but that didn't stop us from filling the dance floor all night! A little smaller in numbers this time as so many are ill right now. We also had several instructors unable to attend, Marilyn, Jan, Kathy, Pam, Arline and Darlene....we missed you and hope to see you well and back on the floorfor the November social dance.
Red and gold tablecloths on the tables, the air going and several additional fans to help keep us cool, DJ John spinning the tunes,
smiles, laughter, and dancing until our feet hurt.....typical Steppin' Out dance night.

The theme was Fall Fling, but based on the Friday's weather I think it should have been Hot Spot. I believe it beat the record as it was still 94 out when we went home at 11:15 PM.  I wish I could say we beat the record for attendance, however, it was the lowest we have ever had.

Those that did come had a great time dancing to all their favorites from the playlist and several new ones that many groups have been working on such as Bad Influence, Chica Boom Boom, Rain Against My Window, Spotlight, Love Trick and I know I missed some.
DJ John did another wonderful job of spinning our tunes for us as well as joining us on the dance floor for some of his favorites.

Congrats to the winners of the free passes and the 50/50. Thanks to Tony for attending the door for us, those that came early to help and of course to the die hard dancers who stay until the very end and then help us clean up.
