Line Dance Party
   Friday  Nov 13, 2009
Another great evening for an excuse to get out and do some dancing. One thing we want to get rid of is all the floor space that we have for dancing lately. We like to be shoulder to shoulder so think about coming back and joining us on the floor for our next social December 11th. It will be our annual Christmas Party and we hope you won't miss it.
DJ John and I must have had some mental communication going on Friday as in the afternoon Duck Soup popped into my mind and I couldn't remember the steps. I usually bring my step book with me and looked it up right away when I got to the hall. It was a good thing I did as it was the first song he played. John keep us moving after that to Poker Face, Mama Maria, Bad Influence, Back in 63, Primo Waltz, This & That, Dizzy, Rain Against My Window, Time to Swing, Say Hey Love and many more including split floor dances.
A great Steppin' Out night on the dance floor! We had fewer people attending than normal, but that didn't stop us from having fun.
We were thrilled to have Carol Simmons back from the UK ...she has been missed. We are looking forward to attending some of her upcoming  social dances. Marge was also back with her camera snapping pics of everyone.
DJ John has us dancing all night to new dances along with our favorite old and classics. He played "Swinging in the Rain" and some of the girls came out with their umbrellas....what a fun dance and this just added a little extra to it.
Lots of smiles, laughter, catching up with old friends and of course, tons of dancing.....that's what Steppin' Out is all about!
Hope to see you at the December Christmas dance - Friday, Dec. 11th .....same time, same place!

Several of the instructors did an easy teach this week of Swingin in the Rain and out came the umbrellas for this one. Peppy dance and lots of fun.
Thanks again to my hubby Jeff who agreed to come and do the ticket table for us and on his birthday too. The other Instructors who so graciously come up front to lead some of the dances, the people who help to set up and clean up, and especially to you the dancers who come out and support these functions.

Debbie, Linda, and Lanie selling 50/50 tickets.
Linda was thrilled when her ticket was drawn and she was the big winner for the night.
