What a wonderful way to end 2009 celebrating an early Christmas together, as a line dance family, at our last social event of the year. So many colorful plates of appetizers and desserts to choose from. Oh, what a way to go.  None of us gained a pound though as the floor was full all night working off all the excess calories we were consuming.


DJ John again kept us hopping, funkin', stomping, kicking, waltzing, strolling, weaving, vining, swaying, and even a little macarena was thrown in. Lots of great new dances like Playing with Fire, Rain against my Window, Say Hey Love, Bad Influence, Sister Kate/Baby Kate, Chica Boom Boom, Cadillac's & Caviar, and so many more.  We also danced to many of our old favorites, some special requests and Teton Mountain Stomp, a favorite mixer dance. Several couples threw in a swing, partner dance and some buckle rubbin'.


It was great that Lisa McCammon, a Steppin' Out instructor from Mississippi, was able to join us for our Christmas Dance Party.....wish she was here all the time!!
Thanks to all of you who made the goodies, the Instructors for their donations, Tony (our doorman), the people who help with our setup and cleanup, and you the dancers who have made these events possible. Congratulations to all of the winners of last nights giveaways. Let's hope there is a big winner in there somewhere.
It was with sadness that we announced that this dance was our last scheduled event. With the increased costs for the hall and decreased attendance, we can no longer afford to continue holding these events as we have been doing. Other options are being pursued and your Instructors will notify you when the socials will be resumed. Keep dancing and going to your classes so you will be ready to party again with us soon.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year......we'll see you again on the dancefloor in 2010!!

115 dancers filled the hall, many dressed to match the holiday cheer.....lots of smiles, laughter, and well wishes and a little nostalgia too as we reflected on the 2009 Steppin' Out dance season. There is no place like a Steppin' Out floor!
