CLASS BUZZ

Beginners:
Lots of new faces in our beginner class! This class is basic beginner and most of the dancers are brand new to line dancing. Dances we are reviewing include: Who's Been Sleepin' in My Bed, Mama Maria, Would You be Vine, Rita's Waltz, Stroll Along Cha Cha, Electric Slide, Country Walkin', Where I Belong, and Stealing the Best...all dances on the Steppin' Out playlist. I want to make sure this class will be able to attend a Steppin' Out social dance and be on the floor as often as possible!
Improvers:
We have several beginners that have moved into this class so we not only are learning new but also reviewing many of the dances on the Steppin' Out playlist. New dances in the last month include Wade in the Water, Flip, Flop & Fly, Walking in the Rain, With Broken Heels and Abidi-Hi-Bidi-Hop Hop. Dances we have reviewed include: Body Language, Under the Sun, Come Dance with Me, Everybody's Here, Triple J, and Dizzy.
Intermediates:
Short Class is held prior to our regular bar class.....this keeps us going until the fall when I hope to find us a steady full class.....maybe by then we'll have enough attending to keep a class open dedicated to Intermediate level. Dances we are currently doing include: Gave it All Away, Hey Soul Sister, American Cowboy, Broken Heels, Bobbi with an I, Quarter after One, Shoes of Another Man and Ballare. Coming soon: Dog-Gone Blues and Black Butta.
Thirsty Gator's Bar:
Mix of new and old favorites, different music genres, and all levels welcome. Thursdays is all about fun on the floor!!
We not only dance the favorites from classes and the Steppin' Out playlist, but also dance many old favorites and have just started having a "Flashback Thursday Nite". We'll be doing this about every 5 weeks or so. Flashbacks already learned include: Mars Attack, My Maria, and Walk the Line. Upcoming will include Greased Lightning by request. If there is an old favorite you'd like to dance again, let me know!
Other favorites floor fillers include: Playing with Fire, Shoes of Another Man, Electrified (danced to Tik Tok), Askin' Questions, Everybody's Here, Body
Language, Wade in the Water, Flip, Flop & Fly,
Gave it All Away, Bobbi with an I, and more!
Summertime right now and everyone is busy with
vacations and summer plans and miss a few
classesat various times, but we keep on plugging
along!Be sure to attend as often as possible so we
won'tbe in any danger of having classes cancelled!
